That's a question that keeps coming up recently. As soon as we hit our late 20's or get into a serious relationship we then decide to go all adultish and not have any fun and maybe we then start to take life to seriously. Society makes us think we need to be a certain way as a good adult. Once we start to do that, we then get a lot more stressed, anxious, and our life just seems to pass us by without us actually living in the moment.
When was the last time you just thought sod it, I'm going to do what I want from now on and have fun? Probably a long time ago. Did you know, not prioritising fun leads to a build up of cortisol (stress hormone), which over time is linked to heart disease, cancer, auto immune system failure. I was 100% guilty of this too, but then I started to enjoy myself and look how happy I am now.
By going along with society this is where the issue lies. Yes I have been a culprit of it to, I think we all have. So today I want you to throw caution to the wind and go and do something fun that makes you feel like a big kid. Let the energy of fun come back into your life, whether that's bouncing on the bed, having a pillow fight with your partner or climbing a tree. Or if you've got children then take them to the park and climb on the climbing frames.
Why do we feel so self conscious about doing that. We certainly are a nation of 'I better not do that, someone is looking'. But why should you care about what anyone thinks? Its your life, you need to live it. I always say we aren't on this planet for very long, so live our lives to the fullest. Mess around, have fun. Have play fights with your partner, play pranks on each other. And most of all have fun in the process.
If you are struggling for inspiration in anything, the go and play, come back and you will have had endorphins released into your system (that's our happy hormone's) so you will fell inspired by the fun task you have just done. This will then give you inspiration for whatever you are writing or doing.
Go and play, have fun and be inspired by the connections you have all around you. Its so simple and easy to do. Click the contact button to let me know what you do to get the happy hormones flowing, I'd love to know and am always up for trying something new.
