Setting Healthy Boundaries

Boundaries

Self Care Sunday is all about Self Care and today is all about Boundaries. It isn't healthy to have non existent boundaries in your life. Now this can be with anything from family to friends, partners, to your children.

Healthy boundaries are needed to create a division in your life so you can mentally separate the good things from the bad. You need healthy boundaries in your life so you do not get overwhelmed with everything that is going on. When you start to say yes to everything even if your mind and body do not want to actually say yes, you are allowing your mind to take over and then your anxiety levels start to rocket. You start to stress about things which will then bring your mood down and you'll start to resent people for you saying yes to.

So start to say no to things that just don't fill you up. Be nice about saying no and don't be rude but just say no its not for me right now but thank you for asking me, I do appreciate it. That way, you aren't hurting anyone's feelings and you are being nice, its just not your thing. The more you say no to things you don't want to do, the easier it becomes and the more self respect you will have for yourself.

So do it, set your boundaries and stick to them. Be strong. Its for your own mental heath.

What do you do to set your own boundaries? Let me know in the comments below.
