I’m completely obsessed with this.

Today as we know is Self Care Sunday. What are you going to be doing for your self care today? Let me know by leaving a comment below. And I'll try it out.

No matter how busy we are or how stressed we are, we need to find time for ourselves even if it is just 10 minutes per day just to collect our thoughts and allow some me time. Having time on our own not only refreshes us, but it allows our mind and body to be centred and grounded. This then will allow us to go into intense situations or just life in general felling calmer and more relaxed.

This morning I got up at 5.30am and did a 50 minute HIIT circuit before the whole house woke up. Don't get me wrong, I love working out with my children but sometimes I just need some me time and for me to do this I need to get up early but I am more of a morning person anyway so its ok. Are you a morning exerciser or an afternoon/ evening exerciser? Let me know in the comments below. There is no right or wrong answer, its just what your body feels better doing.

Todays Self Care Yoga Pose is Childs Pose.

This pose is great at releasing tightness and tension in the pelvis and lowers the heart rate as your head is lower than your heart so its having to work less to pump blood around the body.

1. Come to all fours position, hands under shoulders and knees under hips.

2. Start to push back your pelvis towards the heels.

3. Bring the forehead the kiss the mat. Reaching your hands forwards and spreading your fingers wide for a shoulder stretch or bring hands to hug heels drooping shoulders over knees or bring one arm forward and bring the other arm under for a shoulder and spinal twist. For a hip stretch have the knees wide, or bring them closer together for a calming relaxing pose.

4. Stay here for 1-5 minutes. Or as long as you wish. This is such a good pose for all sorts or reasons. Let me know how you get on.

Childs pose for me is one of my favourite poses as I can feel my spine lengthening, my shoulders stretching and hips opening. So give it a try. Maybe even take a phot of you doing it and tag me on social media.

I'm back with a new Podcast Episode all about Stress as its Stress Awareness month this April. Go check it out and learn some new things about how to cope with Stress and Anxiety.

Whoop Whoop I'm Back With My EasYoga Podcast. I'm So Excited About It.

STRESS – Oh it’s that 6 letter word that starts and ends with an ‘S’ and we all know something about it.

So, what exactly is it? Well, its where there are more levels of Cortisol hormone (stress hormone) in your body than there should be and there needs to be more of serotonin (that’s your calming hormone) in your body for your mind and body to function correctly.

When we start to feel stressed that’s when the levels of cortisol are higher and we then start to have headaches, tightness in our shoulders and neck area, our brain function starts to decrease, and we start doing silly things. We need to start to notice when we are feeling stressed and what causes it for us to then do something about it before it gets out of hand.

Did you know that 74% of UK adults have felt so stressed at some point over the last year they felt overwhelmed or unable to cope.

So take a listen and learn all about how to cope with stress and let me know your thoughts about how you deal and cope with stress.

Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment on the podcast or feel free to share.
