Today is Wellness Wednesday and we are talking about Superfoods in the form of berries.
Berries are great especially if you can pick them yourself but if not frozen one are great as they keep the goodness packed in. This recipe includes blueberries, raspberries and blackberries all of which are superfoods. There are so many benefits to eating berries. Did you know that some are that Blueberries and Raspberries are low in calories but high in nutrients they are the King of Antioxidant Foods which help to fight cancer and DNA damage. They also may help to prevent heart disease. They are all very good at producing brain power to so this smoothie is great for breakfast. Is that amazing, these tiny little fruits can pack such a punch.
EasYoga Super Food Berry Smoothie:
½ cup blueberries, raspberries & blackberries (mixed)
Splash of coconut water or Water
1 & ½ cup Almond Milk
½ cup of Granola (Preferably Home Made) but a good shop brought one if not.
3 tbsp Greek yogurt
3 Kale leaves or Spinach
2 tbsp flaxseed meal or Chia seeds
Put all in a blender and wizz up. Enjoy cold in a tall glass or use as a smoothie bowl topped with more berries.
