Burnout and Brain Dump


Have you ever got to a point where you cant even function because you are so burnt out? You are overwhelmed with work deadlines, you have pressure to spend time with your family, you need time to yourself, you aren't eating right and you just feel like all you want to do is stay in bed? I hear you, I really do. But you know you cant carry on like this. So to help you overcome this there are two things that will help you right now. They are Brain Dumping and Movement.


Have you heard of Brain Dump before? Its an actual thing. Google it if you don't believe me. Its a way of getting your anxious thoughts out of your head and onto paper. By removing the “over thinking” thoughts from your mind and placing them somewhere else, this can help you live more freely throughout each day as the things that are troubling you are being resolved by getting them out of your head and onto paper, effectively removing them from your mind. Before you go to bed or just as you wake up in the morning get your journal and a pen and just start writing what comes to mind. These are the thoughts that are the most troubling you as they come up first. Just write. It doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense. The next and most amazing tool for you to do is to move. Yoga, going for a walk in nature, exercise, will all help with burnout. Yoga moves the toxins which have built up within your body from the anxiety and stress from the burnout. By connecting the breath with movement, it allows you to send fresh oxygen to the blood cells, giving your brain fresh oxygen, allowing it to function clearer, and making you feel 100% better straight away. It releases Dopamine (calming hormone) and decreases the stress hormone Cortisol.


Whenever you are feeling overwhelmed and not sure which way to turn, write down your thoughts and move. These are the best forms of getting rid of how you feel right now. Trust me. It truly is.
