Bed of Nails Acupressure Mat Review

Updated: Jan 30, 2021

This mat is one amazing little creation. My uncle gave it to me to try out and its brilliant. Its called Bed of Nails Acupressure Mat.

It helps with insomnia, eases back pain and tension, increases blood flow to the area, increases energy levels, reduces stress and anxiety, releases endorphins (your happy hormone), helps to give you a full night’s sleep and feels amazing after using this.

It’s 68cm in length and 42cm wide. There are 210 nails and are made from 100% recycled non toxic ABS plastic and the bed is made from cotton. The nails are on one side of the mat.

When trying this out for the first time I thought it was a very strange but warming feeling. I just had my bra on so I could get the full effects of the Acupressure Mat. When laying on it for the first time, slowly lower yourself onto it starting from your pelvis, then allowing more weight to be placed on it from your back.

Once on it, try to relax. Try not to think ‘this is going to hurt’ it won’t, trust me. You will start to have a warm tingling feeling running over the back. This will be the blood vessels opening up. Close your eyes and imagine feeling calm and relaxed, imagine lying down on a nice white soft sandy beach feeling the soft sand on your back. Breath through the tinglinness. Your body will start to relax with every breath.

Starting from around 5 to 10 minutes lying on the mat to then build up to 20 or 30 minutes once you are used to the feeling. To increase the pressure, slowly start to bring your knees into the chest hugging them around your shins. This will push different parts of your back onto the mat.

Have a go and see for yourself how amazing this mat really is. It’s certainly worth the money.
